Hotel Security and Locking Systems
Livingstone's Locks have a range of locks and security systems that have been specifically designed in conjunction with the hotel and accommodation market.
We can supply, install, commission and train the relevant personnel on the whole locking system. Using our experience in this field we prepare a custom proposal for your exact requirements.
Magnetic key card lock systems
Each locking system comprises of a PC, software and encoder, door locks and jeycards. Upon installation, each lock is issued a unique ID, so that it knows to which room it belongs. The software is also configured to suit your hotel, displaying all the rooms and different floors. As a guest checks in, the receptionist selects the room number on the software to which the guest will be staying, and then inputs the guest name as well as the time and date of when the guest is due to check out. Once processed, the encoder will write this information onto a blank card acting now as the guest's actual key. You can have your hotel name and logo on the front of the card for promotional purposes and you can have instructions on how to operate the lock on the back of the card.
Contactless lock systems
These locks are slightly different to the traditional magnetic hotel lock. These locks use Contactless – Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to communicate with the guest's Key Card. When several guests share one room, special features allow other cards to be activated as required without interference with each other. The card will automatically expire by itself if the guest keeps it past their check out time and date.
Fingerprint locking systems
We offer a series of fingerprint locks where you just need to put your finger on the scanning window; fingerprint recognition system will automatically scan, match and verify the fingerprint data. If matching is successful, the electronic controlled lock will be unlocked. All our locks are stand-alone devices with their own internal power source. They require no external power source or wiring.
