It is important to have fully operational hinges on your door and windows to avoid unnecessary strain on the units which can result in damage and misalignment meaning locks don't engage cirrectly. Types of hinges vary from top hung hinges, side hung hinges, easy clean hinges and restricted access hinges. We can also replace all types of door and window furniture.
Door and window restrictors
There are many situations where restrictors could be useful on either upvc windows or doors. Restricted window hinges or the integral window restrictor are useful on a child's bedroom where there may be danger of accidentally falling out as they restrict the amount that a window can be opened. They are also options when security is more of an issue, this could be used on ground floor bedrooms when ventilation is required or on windows where intruder access is a possibility. Children can often swing doors wide open, slamming back against a wall or windows. The basic door restrictor will prevent the door from opening past 90°. These restrictors are also useful when you want your door to stay open without the danger of it slamming closed. They prevent the door from opening past 90° but can then be fixed in position, and released easily when you want them closed.
